Administrative Assistant- Pennock Physician Network

Department: Pennock Physician Network
Status: Full-time, 80 hours per pay
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Requirements: Associates degree in Business or equivalent education and experience. Three to five years administrative experience required. Experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred. Requires typing speed of at least 60 wpm and high proficiency in computer use including word processing and database operations. Must possess ability to meet the public, work cooperatively with Medical Staff, create and maintain positive and professional working relationships.


Responsibilities: Prepares correspondence and documents, coordinates meetings, maintains files and records, gathers/researches data, prepares a variety of reports. Handles and/or assists with administrative matters of a confidential nature, performs special projects, provides administrative support to other Executives, and other duties as assigned. Reports to the Vice President of the Pennock Physician Network (PPN).

Department: Advanced Orthopedic & Pain Institute
Status: Full-time, 80 hours per pay
Schedule: Monday-Friday, first shift

Requirements: Associates degree preferred; Five years' physician's office experience required; Three years' of supervisory experience required with a proven track record of building teamwork. Must possess knowledge of medical terminology, medical office regulations, electronic medical record/practice management/billing systems. Must be skilled in use of computer systems (Microsoft), oral and written communication, problem solving, customer service, planning, organizing and delegating. Also requires the ability to set priorities and interact effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.


Responsibilities: Oversees operations in the orthopedic office focusing on customer service, provider support and colleague relationships. Develops strong relationships with supporting departments at Pennock Health such as Human Resources, IT, Environmental Services, etc. Assures that all equipment and physical facilities are maintained in good condition. Effectively teams with Billing and Clinic managers. Develops plans and directs respective office operations by coordinating patient needs, provider preferences, and policies. Provides direction, guidance, and leadership to office colleagues in collaboration with his/her manager counterparts. Reports to the Director of the Advanced Orthopedic & Pain Institute (AOPI).
