Spectrum Health Foundation Integration
As the Board Chair for the Spectrum Health Foundation Pennock, I am pleased to announce that the Pennock Foundation has integrated with the Spectrum Health Foundation. This is very exciting news for our community, as the integration allows the Foundation access to services and investment opportunities that would not be possible on our own. In addition, the board’s decision to integrate with Spectrum Health and its corresponding investment of $10 million increases the Foundation’s total assets to just over $16 million, bringing us closer to realizing our vision of being "the preeminent foundation with the financial resources to remain self-sustaining, while concurrently funding the best health care and medical innovations for those served by Spectrum Health Pennock."
One of your greatest concerns most likely revolves around local decision-making and local use of donor dollars. This was also a concern for our Foundation Board, of which we spent hours discussing. The agreement between Spectrum Health Foundation and the Pennock Foundation outlines accountability and structure, and ensures all current net assets and future donations will remain for local use. Moreover, fundraising and funding decision-making will continue through our foundation board and leadership.
Thank you for your past and future support, and for demonstrating your commitment to the health of our community through the Spectrum Health Foundation Pennock.

Access To Healthcare.
Providing access to health care for our county is one of our top priorities. We have expanded services for dialysis patients with the creation of the Baum Center for Health. The Center currently serves 30 dialysis patients every week, keeping their care close to home.donate now
Through the Doris I. Cappon Scholarship Program, the Foundation has granted over $500,000 for healthcare scholarships since it's inception in 2004. This year alone, 11 nursing scholarships were awarded to worthy individuals seeking healthcare degrees.donate now
